Classification Of Precision Stamping Molds

To stamp a precision product, you first need a precision stamping mold.
Classification of precision stamping molds:
1. According to the characteristics of the completed process, precision stamping molds can be divided into: punching molds (blanking/separating molds); drawing molds; forming molds, etc.
2. According to the guide form of the mold, precision stamping molds can be divided into: guided molds and non-guided molds
3. Precision stamping molds are classified according to the process content completed by the mold, and can be divided into: single-process molds (engineering molds), composite molds, and continuous molds.
4. Single-process mold (engineering mold): A mold that can only complete one process in one stamping stroke.
Composite mold: A mold that completes two or more processes at the same station in one stamping stroke.
Continuous mold: a mold with two or more stations, and the material is fed into one station successively along the stroke of the press (punch), so that the workpiece is gradually formed.
